Working with Reports, Insights and Actions Due Diligence Overview
Reports
Reports allow users to use external data sources to generate insights about an asset.
Reports and associated insights configured through the Asset Category configuration. This allows users to select which of the insights they wish to automatically generate when running the report.
Each report will have different inputs. When a due diligence report is run, the suggested inputs will load from appropriate current insight data but can be amended.
Insights
Insights provide a standard way of understanding an asset, regardless of category. It provides a standard way of viewing key asset information and can be automatically generate or added by a user manually.
Reports generate automatic insights by working through the data provided to extract the key information in a standard format.
Report Related Actions
When a report is run, the action engine is configured to define which actions should be created. Actions provide key warnings and tasks required based on the insights provided and the current state of the asset. These are configured by system admins and consistent across assets.
Whilst they form part of the due diligence process, actions are shared across multiple areas of the process and so defined in the 'Working with Actions' section.
